The First Peoples Principles of Learning are a more recent addition to BC’s curriculum. Nevertheless; The First Peoples Principles of Learning have been a way of learning for Indigenous groups for thousands of years. The FPPL have become a wonderful way of incorporating the importance of Indigenous knowledge and learning into the classroom. As a non- Indigenous person, I value this resource as it guides my learning and teaching. It really is the first step to being able to have constant recognition of those who have lived and learned for thousands of years on this land we have taken from them.
